From Biomedical Science to PjM

I started my academic journey as a Biomedical Scientist, but somewhere along the way, I realized that my passion was in project management. My part-time job as a campus ambassador during my second year of university gave me my first taste of project management, and I loved the challenge of coordinating events, managing people and delivering timely results. I have always been very organized and skilled in time management, and these existing skills helped me make a smooth transition to a project management apprentice at Google in 2022. Before that I did an internship in 2021 at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore which helped me further improve my organizational and interpersonal skills.

From a very young age, I had to relocate to different countries and cities due to my parents' jobs and each experience has taught me something new. One of the most important things I have learned from traveling is how to thrive in ambiguity. When you are in a new place, you are constantly faced with new challenges and new experiences. You have to learn to adapt quickly and to be flexible. This has helped me to become a more resilient person. Also, you learn to appreciate different perspectives, and be more tolerant of others. This has made me a more open-minded person, and it has also helped me to become a better communicator.

At Google, I have had the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds out there.I have learned so much from my colleagues, and I have been able to make my own contributions to complex projects. This has been a challenging but rewarding experience, and it has helped me to grow as a professional.

In my current role as a learning apprentice, I have gained experience in using a variety of project management tools listed above in the tools section. I have also developed my skills in stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and communication. I have worked with cross functional teams across the globe - APAC, EMEA, America.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, editing videos / pictures, and spending time with my loved ones. I am also an avid cinema buff! I believe that my creative side and my passion for learning make me a well-rounded project manager with her own style to offer.

I am excited to continue my journey in this field and utilize my skills to contribute to the success of my organization. I aspire to become a successful program manager and drive a positive impact wherever I go.
